The Client’s Brief
The clients wanted to make more effective use of the available space without filling the room with mismatched pieces of furniture.
They needed generous wardrobe and drawer storage, together with a dedicated dressing area, but wanted the finished bedroom to remain light, comfortable and relaxing.
It was also important that the different elements felt connected and that the complete project was carefully coordinated on their behalf.
Making Better Use of the Room
Full-height fitted wardrobes were designed to provide substantial storage while sitting neatly against the wall. Their simple doors and soft neutral finish help the wardrobes blend naturally into the room rather than dominating it.
Extending the cabinetry towards the ceiling makes use of space that would otherwise be lost and gives the installation a clean, made-to-measure appearance.
Positioning the wardrobes alongside the existing window also preserves the natural light and leaves the centre of the bedroom feeling open.
Coordinated Furniture Throughout
Warm wood-finished furniture introduces natural texture and creates a gentle contrast with the neutral wardrobes.
Matching bedside drawer units provide practical storage on either side of the bed, while a long dressing table incorporates generous drawers and a comfortable seated area. Additional drawer storage continues towards the window, making productive use of the room’s length without compromising its sense of space.
Using coordinated finishes throughout brings the separate areas together and gives the bedroom a cohesive, thoughtfully planned appearance.
